Character notes: Juanita was born on a planet a bare step above a darkworld. She grew up having only the most vague knowledge that other planets even existed, let alone were colonized by humans. All that changed when she made a trip out of the mountains she had grown up in to the largest city (and the only one with a space port) on the planet. She saw an off-world wrestling team there; the manager, Bernard Bellicose, was impressed by her strength and offered her a job.

Juanita traveled to many different worlds with the troop, until after the Zatvian victory, when Bernard settled down to running the pirate station of Paradise. While there, she was one of his many head-breakers, who kept nominal order on the largely lawless station. She managed to evacuate Paradise on the Exile just before the station was destroyed by the Zatvians, and has been a member of the crew ever since.
