Name: Fiona Maclachlan Rank: First Mate Homeworld: Alba Age: 37 Standard Years* Character notes: Fiona spent her teen years in space, working whatever job she could get. When she was old enough, she served a stint in Alba's military, mainly patrolling the home system. Since that was before the war, the job was relatively boring, and she was honorably discharged after her term of duty. When she returned planet side, she met and fell in love with Mary Elliot, an artist who was becoming well-known for her sculptures. Once the Zatvian war machine drew close enough to threaten Alba, the MacLachlan clan chief urged everyone who could to sign up. Although his standing was largely ceremonial, his word carried moral weight with a great many MacLachlans, including Fiona. While she was away, Mary filed for and was granted a divorce. Shortly thereafter, Fiona's unit was captured by the Zatvians. They were transferred to a prisoner of war camp on Waga Chun, from which the survivors were later liberated by the resistance. Fiona immediately joined the resistance, and soon rose to second in command of one of the most successful squads. With the Zatvians driven out of the system, she finds herself at lose ends, with nothing to keep her at Waga Chun, but nothing to return to on Alba. *Note: Standard years are the measurement of time used between systems to make data exchange easier, and are based on the length of the orbit of the origin world (Earth). Ages may vary when measured by the orbit length of the local or home planet. Additionally, ages vary according to relative time frame (e.g. time spent in hyperspace vs. time spent in real space). |
